Educators value the success of all students. Educators care for students and act in their best interests.
Throughout my time in practicum I have always attempted to have every student succeed and to look out for their best interests. I have spent time getting to know my students on a personal level. This has helped me grow as a teacher. Knowing about my students lives has allowed me to see changes in them when they’re feeling off at school because of difficult situations in their personal lives. In those times I have been able to listen to my students and give them a safe space to talk. I have also attempted to have a differentiated classroom that allows for classroom inclusion and IEP awareness.
